Captcha on Events
Sunday 25 November 2007 at 1:11 pm One of the main sections of the union site is the Tai Chi Events page. Instructors are encouraged to send in events using the Add an Event page. Unfortunately spammers have been using the form to post links. These links have been clogging up my inbox.to try and combat this I've added a captcha to the event forms which looks like this:

I've also updated the form so that once you fill in one event, it will keep the details so that you will not have to change them if you post another event.
The system seems to be working well, but if you use the form and don't get a reply from me in few days, please email me and let me know.
Tai chi on Target
Tuesday 20 November 2007 at 6:16 pm Dawn to dusk Tai Chi marathon at Exeter Steiner School
On 28th October TCUGB Instructor Joe Salmon and student Tom Haworth undertook an 11 hour sponsored tai chi session to raise money for Exeter Steiner School. They started before dawn and finished after dark, braving the weather to practice outside if possible or in the schools amazingly decorated hall.
They practiced, taught and demonstrated all day and were joined through the day by twenty five members of the community including people learning tai chi from scratch, experienced practioners, local teachers including Matthew Rochford, Andrew Broadhead and David Perry and general well wishers and food bringers. They have so far collected £800 which will go towards improving facilities at the schools new site and employing a much needed classroom assistant. (more)
