China Trip October 2006

Monday 11 September 2006 at 7:33 pm Union instructor Lee Courtman sent us details of an interesting trip:

My teacher is a member of the Tai Chi union for just over 2 years now. Master Fei Bing of the Internal Kung Fu Research Association and we are taking members of are school to Beijing to train with 6 times Chinese national pushing hands (tui shou) champion Master Zhang Wei Zhong.

We are offering the chance to all Chinese internal martial arts practioners or martial artists alike who would be interested in this workshop which will take place for 10 days in April 2007 (Easter Weekend). We would like to add the event to the website but make known so that everyone at the union can get involved. My teacher and Marnix Wells are quite good friends so we will invite them individually.

The trip will include hotel, food and training with Master Zhang Wei Zhong who also practises Xing Yi Quan. He can help people improve not only in pushing hands but also in Yang style taiji and Ba Gua Zhang.

Dates: Monday 9th April 2007 – Friday 20th April 2007

Venue: Central Beijing, China

Price: £1,200

Inclusive: Flight, Hotel, Food & Drink, 10 day workshop with Master Zhang Wei Zhong (workshop timetable yet to be displayed). The last 2 days will include some of the most famous sights in China.

·       Detailed documents for the visa can be issued to you individually or as a group of 5.
