Saturday 30 July 2005 at 09:51 am lion logo Union Member Matthew Rochford let us know about the The 3rd Totnes Festival Of Chinese Arts which is on Saturday 15 Sunday 16 October 2005

Quite a few Union members are involved including Luke Shepherd, Angus Clark and instructors from Zhong Ding.

Last years event saw 500 people through the doors and raised a lot of money for charity.

Totnes Civic Hall, South Devon (above Totnes Market)

10am - 4pm (Saturday) - 11-5pm (Sunday)

Celebrating the richness of Traditional Chinese Arts (martial,

cultural and healing) in an atmosphere of co-operation and openness.

  • Lion Dance - Festival Shows - Workshops


  • Tai Chi - Kung Fu - Qi Gong - Acupuncture - Chinese Brush Painting -Kids Workshops


  • Health Awareness (MS, Epilepsy, Elderly, Mobility) - Tui Na Massage-Herbal Medicine




Things kick off at 10.30am. There will be two main Festival Shows this year featuring an amazing Lion Dance and some awesome Kung Fu and Tai Chi Demos.

Talks, workshops and Tui Na Massage sessions will run in between the shows.

•Costs: £1 entrance fee, kids p. All Saturday Workshops only £2 (£1

for children). All Talks are free.

•Tui Na Massage is available at only £2 per session.

•All profits go to charity (The Rowcroft Hospice and The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society).
