Instructor Insurance
The Tai Chi Union for Great Britain offers insurance to its members. Below you will find information of the various levels of cover available. Click on this link for an Insurance Proposal Form (pdf file it will open in a new window for printing) which you should complete and return to Tai Chi Union for Great Britain at the address at the bottom of the form, together with a cheque for the appropriate amount, (payable to the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain).
Public Liability £5,000,000 indemnity limit (with malpractice).
This is for instructors only and provides legal liability cover to all third parties up to an indemnity limit of £5,000,000 on any one claim. The malpractice element specifically provides cover against an instructor's negligence. Damage or injury sustained to a Third Party's property or person caused by an instructor, who is found legally liable, will be met by the insurers up to the indemnity limit.
Personal Accident (injury)
This is for instructors and students alike providing benefits in the event of injury whilst participating in the sport.
For example death benefit £15,000, loss of limb(s) and/or eye(s) £15,000, permanent total disablement £15,000, & temporary total disablement £40 per week (limit 52 weeks).
Instructor Insurance Plans:
· Plan A – provisional premium £80This premium provides Public Liability and Personal Accident cover for those instructors whose work includes teaching Taiji form, weapons, pushing hands and safely structured applications.
· Plan B – provisional premium £145
This premium provides Public Liability and Personal Accident cover for other instructors of Taijiquan who are engaged in vigorous routines and contact work e.g. whose students train for and enter competitions, and for instructors of Xingyiquan and Baguazhang.
Complete the Form and send it with the appropriate amount to The Secretary at the address provided at the end of the form.
